Got it. Just seemed coumnter intuitive. My Johnson Bar flaps come out just fine to the first notch at 100.

Send your broken one to Keystone Instruments, Lock Haven PA. They will repair it. My bourdon tube snapped off and they replaced and tested it. Highly recommended.

Did you sump the tanks, selector, and gascolator after fueling? Weather/flight conditions? Did you do a mag check post-flight?

I had just fueled, runup was fine, engine smooth, 5 minutes after takeoff, rpm dropped from 2400 to about 1800 for 2 seconds then was normal for the duration of my flight of 2 hrs, any ideas?

Just be careful, friend. I assume you know the fields well. I used to fly a lot with a helmet. Miss it. Different airplane though.
