You are so correct. The real watchout is fastners. Using low quality fastners can cause major problems. Wings have fallen off for these reasons.

That's a good information. I'll buy good quality fastners for 172.

And now Cessna's building the 162 there. Wonder how long until the quality goes down?

Well, it will be all right, if the manufacturer in China has certificate.

The problem is that the certificate is also made in China......

All this effort to make gadgets with increasing ability, then all this effort from someone else to copy it. Yet no one seems to spend much effort on making things more durable, more reliable, less failures.
To get a reasonable price on a cell phone, you have to get a 2 year contract, although I have yet to have a cell phone that can survive 2 years.

True Rodney, true.

I will tell you the secret to a cell phone that will last two years and more. Remember, the fewer moving parts, the less likely they are to break. Stick to phones with no buttons or hinges. The new buttonless, glass-faced phones are very durable in my experience. Have had two of them now. I even dropped my EVO on the pointed corner of a brick a couple of weeks ago, and even though the glass spidered, it still works like a champ.

Funny how I was just complaining about reliability issues with electronics and I just suddenly had a problem with my internet connection. Took resetting both the router and the computer to get them to talk to each other again.
I have a Motorola Droid, it works great for the most part. Every now and then it will lock up. Big problem I've had with it is every now and then, it will claim memory is low despite no apps running and even when I go and remove the few apps that I have that won't move to the SD card. I figure the sliding screen will be the failure point for it physically, although it is very rare that I used the physical keyboard, prefer the touch keyboards. I carry it in my pocket, so I know there's pressure on it quite often. Corn-fed fella such as myself doesn't have loose pockets...

My contract was satisfied many years ago. My ancient cell phone is nearly ten years old now, but still works fine, though batteries are becoming hard to find. Of course, it doesn't take pictures, and I don't do internet or text - I just use it to make and take phone calls. It's simple and obviously bullet proof (Qualcomm 3035).

I agree with NightOwl. My phone has lasted 4 or 5 years so far. About all I know to use it for is to make phone calls. It does a couple other things, but not much else.

I just got a new cell phone today, after my last one barely made it through its one year anniversary. I'm iPhone-enabled now! I had one of those for the old job last year and it worked well enough to switch for personal use when Verizon started carrying it.

Congratulation that you have an iPhone. Although I have HTC NexusOne, I want to buy it because of iPhone's merit. It's really a wonderful smartphone.

Apple has recently discovered that there are several fake Apple stores in China...it's funny because my iphone 4 was shipped directly to me from China!
