Has anyone changed the older style symmetrical wing tips for the newer Cessna conical style tips on an earlier model 172 ? If so did you notice any improvement in flying characteristics ?
Thanks,

On my 57 model I changed them to the Aero Glass brand that are built and sold in Georgia by David Lust. Really similar to the Hoerner wing tips.

Gave me a more stable condition during slow flight. Attached is a picture.

Thanks ! I flew a friends 1965 Skyhawk that had Cessna's conical tips and noticed a big difference compared to my 65 172 that has the symmetrical tips. Was just wondering if it was the difference in rigging or the tips. Thanks again. BTW Beautiful Airplane you have !!!
