Hey guys, I know there are always some of us looking for a new panel or panel plastics and some of them can be a real PITA - like the ones that go behind the throttle and mixture cables. Well - I was stumbling around Facebook and found this guy who re-did his Cessna 150 lower panel. This guy used a company - "Skyhawk panels" - that CNC cut him a lower panel that he did not have to remove the cables....they simply cut the panel section in 2 in order to slip the new panel around them! He just had to loosen the cable nuts 3-4 turns and slipped the new panel behind it. Pretty neat. I posted his story below and some pics as well as the Facebook site and website.

Just thought I'd pass this along if anyone needs something like this.

The 1976 150M lower instrument panel plastics are practically unattainable. Luckily I found Lyle Jansma with Skyhawk Panels. He was able to make an overlay that didnít require full removal of the control cables and is powder coated black and white letterings.

I sent photos of my panel, he then drew it up and sent me a PDF of the panel, followed by a clear plastic panel. I then test fit it and he cut and powder coated the panel.

Install time was roughly 3 hours and fit perfect. I replaced all the switches and plan to replace the circuit breakers with new tripable breakers soon..

Wow, that's pretty slick! Great professional looking job on that panel!

Lyle did my 172K panels when I went for a full avionics/autopilot install just recently.

Excellent work...and very pleased with both his responsiveness and quality.
